Q: What is an Open Edition Canvas Print?
A: Open Edition prints are versions that are generally smaller versions of my Limited Edition prints, or full size versions of older prints that do not have a limited edition. These prints are NOT signed (except as part of the original painting) and are offered unnumbered and as such are less expensive than limited edition prints. The quality of the prints are identical.
Q: What is a Giclee?
A: Giclee (pronounced “jhee-clay”) prints are high quality ink jet prints on canvas or paper. Inks and substrate are archival and relatively light fast. For longest life do not hang in direct sunlight.
Q: What is gallery edging
A: A gallery edged canvas print is black with staples on the back of the frame so the print can be hung unframed if desired.
Q: What is the difference between a 3/4″ and 1.5″ stretcher frame.
A: Both sizes are available. While not necessary, a deeper frame is nice for larger prints and is especially suitable if the print is not framed. There is an additional cost for 1.5″ frames
Q: Is hanging hardware provided?
A: Yes. All canvas prints come premounted with either d-rings and wire or self leveling hanger clips for smaller prints. Wall hooks/nails are not provided. Anchors are not necessary.
Q: Are prints limited edition?
A: Only some prints are limited edition and are identified as such in the store. Canvas prints are signed and numbered on the back.
Q: How long does it take to get my print.
A: I don’t stock canvas prints so generally the time to ship from the time is receive payment is 2 weeks.
